Snow Day!

Yes...we had snow this weekend and YES... it is almost April! We were stuck inside pretty much all day on Saturday because of the lovely white stuff. It's not that I don't like snow, just not in late March when I am in the mode for Spring! The dogs sure had fun and our new puppy (Sissy) had never seen snow, so she thought she was in heaven. Spur was a little bothered by all of her excitement and Clancy LOVED watching the dogs play through the window. He sat in his little chair and watched them and laughed for like 20 minutes. It was so funny! We also introduced Clancy to his Johnny Jump Up and he had a blast in it as you can tell from the pictures. He and Daddy also had some good times!
Getting ready to TAKE OFF and JUMP!

Daddy tickling my toes... he is so good!

Spur and Sissy loved the snow outside and were so much fun for everyone to watch.

Well...it is back to work today :-( My kids have been CRAZY. I guess it's the weather. I can't wait to get off work and spend time with my little man!
On a closing note, I would ask that you all pray for Stellen, he is the son of a lady I only know as MckMama, her blog is one that I read daily. He is not doing well and really needs to be lifted up. A link to her website is on my sidebar (My Charming Kids). She has been so inspiring to me during her child's sickness the past week. She is a wonderful Christian and I admire her commitment to her faith.

Mostly Pictures - STARRING Clancy!!!

So... Clancy found his feet a few weeks or even months ago, but he has never, at least I have never seen him, put his toes in his mouth. He is actually sucking on his toes!! He just LOVES to do this now and loves to be naked so he can actually see his feet.
The rest of the pictures on the blog are from a photo shoot that I did this morning at 6 am... who else has a photo session with their baby that early in the morning?? He is actually at his happiest at this time of day, so I took advantage and got some REALLY cute shots. Hope you enjoy!

Are we proud parents or what??? I guess it's alright to be partial to your own child!
Until next time... Bridget

New Roof... finally

Well... the new roof is on! Praise the Lord! Clint, along with the help of many others, including his mom and dad finished the project yesterday. I am so grateful to my in-laws for coming this past week to help with this HUGE endeavor. I must say that I was quite impressed that my mother-in-law worked on my roof for 3 days straight...she is something else! She said that she will think of me and Clint each time she moves this week because she is so sore...who knew putting a new roof on would be so much work! It sure does look great though. Now we just have to clean up all of the small pieces of shingles and nails. Pictures will follow.

I am back at work today and am having a VERY good day! I woke up at 5:15 so I could get to school by 7:00 and get things done for the week since I didn't come up here AT ALL over Spring Break. My whole week goes better if I get to school early on Monday and Clint is so good about keeping Clancy in the morning and taking him to daycare for me to be able to do this. He is the BEST! Speaking of Clancy... that little booger is jsut growing like a weed! He is making more noise and moving around more each day. At night he starts out at one end of the bed and works his way to the other end in no time. I usually go in his room around 3:00am and move him down so he can scoot again. We have a video monitor and LOVE watching him move around in his sleep... it is so much fun! I wonder if he knows were watching????!!!!

On Sunday morning he slept till almost 7:00am... I kind of panicked when I woke up and it was 6:50 and I hadn't heard a peep out of him. I ran into his room and he was sleeping soundly! Of course, I woke him up and he was happy to be fed. He usually gets up around 6:15 every morning... Iguess he wanted to sleep in as much as we did!

This week will be CRAZY with parent conferences every day after school, but I will try my best to keep everyone posted! I will leave you with a picture of Clancy and Pops (Clint's Dad)
Until next time... Bridget

Thoughts for the day...

No pictures today, just thoughts...

I have been learning a lot lately about life in general, spiritually speaking. I have come to realize that the most important thing in my life is following Christ and what he has planned and worshipping him, not that I didn't know that before, it is just that in this stage of my life it is becoming more clear to me.

If you know me very well, you know that I am a very organized person by nature (you can thank my mom for that :-), and I tend to dwell on things being in order and life being in order and no chaos happening. I am a planner by nature, but married to a man that IS NOT a planner at all. This can be stressful for me at times, but I have adjusted well to his ways as he has mine. We try to find a happy medium. I can get VERY stressed when things are not in order and I think about it all day, which is not a good trait to have. Until Clancy was born I would let little things bother me, like whether or not my bed was made in the morning. I mean, seriously... is anyone at my house during the day to see it? No... and we live so far out that we rarely even have visitors! That is just an example of one of the crazy things I can let myself stress about. The Lord has really taught me that this is so unecessary and that I am letting things like my house being in order control my life. The way I see it, if I spend a whole day worrying about crazy things like that then I have wasted a day loving the Lord and being joyful. This has really become evident to me over the past few months.

There are so many things going on in mine and Clint's life right now that it can be stressful, but I just have to sit back and look at the big picture and take it one day at a time. Life is so much more joyful when I do that. I think we all can get caught up in so many "worries" that we do let it control our lives and it can take our joy away if we let it. I am determined to not let that happen. There is always tomorrow to get my bed made and to get the laundry done. Right now what is important is following Christ and worshipping him and also spending time with my precious family! I never want to neglect them because things are "out of order."

The Bible says in Matthew 6:34, "Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own." and that is so true! In 1 Thessalonians 5:16 - 18 it says, "Be joyful always; pray continually; give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus." I want to give thanks to the Lord no matter what is going on in my life, no matter how hectic it might be, HE is still in control and all things will work out when we follow his will. I am excited about what the future holds and also excited about what the Lord is teaching me!

I hope that you don't mind me sharing what is on my heart, hopefully it wasn't too rambly (is that a word?) maybe someone out there needed to hear this as much as I needed to write it. Man... blogging is VERY therapeutic!!

Until next time... Bridget

Spring Break = New Roof!

So... we are putting a new roof on our house this week and man it is A LOT of work! Clint and I began taking it off on Sunday and we finished on Monday night with the help of some friends. Yesterday and today our friends Cara and Kevin came in to help us put it on. Kevin has put on a few roofs and knows what he is doing, so he is teaching Clint. Cara and I only help when they get behind. It sure will be nice when it is complete...not how I planned on spending my Spring Break, but oh well... I guess it has to be done. Here are a few pics of the guys putting it on.

I know they will be TIRED when they are finished. A HUGE thank you to Kevin and Cara for helping us with this endeavor! You guys are the BEST!

Ok... so another post...

Can you blame me? I am new to this and it is so much fun! I had to share a picture of me setting up my blog...

and also a picture of Clancy in his St. Patty's Day outfit... isn't he the cutest!

I guess he won't be getting pinched today, but watch out because he sure can pinch your skin... I know first hand! OUCH!

Welcome to my Blog!!

Well... I am new to the blogging world, but I think it will be a great way for me to stay in touch with family and friends! Clancy is growing like crazy... it seems like only a few weeks ago that he looked like this...

I can't believe that in a couple of weeks he will be 6 months old! I better schedule the 6 month photo shoot before it's too late. Now he looks like this...

My how time flies!! We are having so much fun with him. He is discovering new things everyday! He is now really into playing with his feet and trying to roll over. He has done it a couple of times, but isn't too interested. He loves to stand up though... could that be a sign that he wants to walk??? I sure hope not... not yet at least! He is full of joy and is happy most all of the time. We are so blessed and thank the Lord everyday for this wonderful blessing! Who knew parenting would be so much fun??!!!
