Happenings!

Things have been super busy around our house the past week!  I interviewed Monday for a position in our local school district and will hopefully be hearing something VERY soon...I really want to know what I will be teaching next year.  Those of you that know me well know that I really like to plan and I can't do that until I know what I will be teaching!  I am learning to be patient with this process and know that I should just be thankful that I am being interviewed for jobs in this economy.

I am enjoying this summer with Clancy much more than I ever thought!  I am trying to do things each day to keep us busy.  Yesterday we went to the park in Monroe and Clancy had a wonderful time, but it was just so hot we didn't stay but about 30 minutes.  We ate lunch at McDonalds and that is always fun.  Today we went swimming and of course my little man just LOVES that!  I did not have my camera on either adventure, so therefore, there are no pictures :-(  It is really hard to take my camera to the pool when it is just me and Clancy, and yesterday I just forgot it!  I am going to try to do better next time!

We have been able to see my parents a lot since we now only live about 2 miles from them. :-)  Last night we went to eat with them and my dad drove the "State Farm Bug" as I like to call it.  Well...as you will see, Clancy LOVES this car!

This car is totally cool!

Where does the key go??

Oh, there it is!!!
Ci Ci and Poppa getting ready to go cruisin'!!
Hopefully my next post will be full of information about my new job!  I am hopeful that I will hear something in the next couple of days!  Please pray that I hear something too so that the waiting game can be over.  Thanks for stopping by!

Back to the world of blogging!

Well...it sure has been a LONG time since I have posted, but I guess now is a better time than any to begin again! I do have an excuse though...see, we just moved back into the world of high speed internet and so this makes blogging MUCH more enjoyable. With the speed of internet that we used to have it would have taken me 3 hours just to post one photo and it just wasn't worth it. So, now that I have given my excuse, we can move on.

This past week we have been getting settled into our new home. It is quite different from our abode in Oklahoma considering we had 24 acres there and here we have about 1/2 an acre, but the house is lovely and we are adjusting. Clint has a wonderful new place for his horses that he is leasing and so he is just fine with the set up. We now live about a mile from my parents and that is taking some getting used to, not in a bad way, I am just not used to them being down the road. It sure has made this moving process a lot easier because they have helped us so very much, especially with Clancy. It can be trying to move with a 20 month old getting into everything, but with Ci Ci and Poppa there to entertain it sure makes things easier! My grandfather only lives about a 1/2 mile down the road and my brother and his wife only live about 1/2 mile as well. We are surrounded by family after living 8 hours away from them for 8 years. It is nice to be back "home."

Clint started his new job on Monday and I will hopefully interview this week for a teaching position in our town. I am hopeful to teach elementary, but with the way the economy is I will just be happy to have a job!

One of my favorite things about this house is that it has an office! I have a nice computer desk that my grandfather built when he lived here and he left it for me...I LOVE having a place to put all of my "stuff." I am still trying to get it all organized, but I have to do that when little man is asleep because he is not allowed in the office!

Speaking of little man...here is a picture that captures his personality just perfectly!

I hope that you all enjoyed a quick glimpse into our move...my goal is to blog at least once a week. So far it has taken me 2 days just to get this post up! We shall see how it goes this time around! Please come back and visit!
